European Union Research and Development Grant (R&D)
What is the purpose of this grant?
The European Union (EU) offers funding for research and development (R&D) performed by businesses under its 'Horizon 2020' program.
The aim of the grant is to encourage the development of new or improved technologies, products, processes and solutions.
Are you eligible?
In order to qualify for the EU R&D grant, businesses need to be established in an EU member state or a Horizon 2020 associated country.
Projects which include the following activities may be considered for eligibility:
- Basic and applied research, technology development and integration
- Testing and validation on a small-scale prototype in a laboratory or simulated environment
- Piloting, large-scale product validation and market replication
